For Professionals
Much of the work I’ve done over the years has focused on something that often goes unaddressed—across both healthcare and high-performance settings.
People who are highly responsible, capable, and reliable often carry patterns that are not immediately visible:
ongoing vigilance,
contained stress,
and a long-standing habit of pushing through.
These patterns are not weaknesses.
They are often the reason people succeed.
But over time, the body carries the cost.
This perspective emerged over decades of work with cardiac patients, executives, and other high-performing individuals whose strengths often came with hidden costs.
For Cardiac Rehab Programs
Many patients do everything right.
They attend sessions,
follow medical guidance,
complete the program—
and yet something doesn’t fully settle.
This work is not designed to replace anything in cardiac rehab.
It is designed to sit alongside it.
A quiet complement.
Not instructional.
Not prescriptive.
But reflective—
helping patients notice patterns of stress, vigilance, and emotional strain that may still be affecting recovery.
Some programs have used this as:
- a supplemental resource for patients
- a take-home reflection tool
- a way to open conversations that are often difficult to begin
For Executive Coaches and Leadership Professionals
From the outside, many high-performing individuals appear to be managing well.
They are effective, responsible, and in control.
But often there is a different pattern underneath:
constant vigilance,
difficulty settling,
and a system that rarely turns off.
This is not burnout in the usual sense.
It is a more subtle cost of sustained performance.
This work offers a way to help clients begin to notice these patterns—
not as problems to fix,
but as signals to understand.
It can complement coaching by adding a layer of awareness that often goes unspoken.
If this perspective feels relevant to your work, I’d be glad to connect or share more.
